The Maritime Training Institute, Karachi was formed in 1998 to protect Pakistan's strategic maritime interest as well as to promote the Education & Training in compliance to the International Convention on Standards of Training and Certification of Seafarers 1978, as amended in 1995, and to satisfy the recommendations of IMO/ILO Documents of Guidance 1985.

With this new setup a macro approach towards global maritime issues can be adopted which will better serve the interests of the Shipping and Maritime Industry.

Student Advisor the College has a full-time Student Advisor who can help you choose the best study option, taking into account your career aims and personal circumstances. The Advisor provides a general welfare service to all students whilst at College and offers information and guidance when the time comes to take the next step. Contact the student advisor through the Student Advice Centre.

Guidance Tutors, Student will be allocated a tutor who will give support and academic guidance throughout your time at the College.
